ANOTHER DROWNING

ACCIDENT AT KAWERAU BODY NOT RECOVERED The second fatality of its kind within eight days occurred at Kawerau on Monday afternoon when Theo Gilman, aged 9, son of Mr and Mrs J. Gilman, was drowned in the Tarawera River. It is ascertained that the boy went to the river with several companions and it was not until they had returned to the bank thatj it was discovered he was missing. His body was then seen being carried out towards the sea on a very swift current. It has not been recovered since.
