CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION One of the many interesting displays at the Centennial Exhibition is the great Court arranged by th;e Women's Institutes of New Zealand. The thousands of -wonderful exhibits in this section arc a proud record of what is done by the women of New Zealand in their own homes. This'section is always well patronised and it is doubtful whether it could be surpassed in any other country. The simplicity of poUery work for those so giflcd. is demonstrated dai!.v\ and. the section as a whole is a most marked tribute to the artistic and cultural attainments of New Zealand women. In this section is a full-sized pioneer house of the 1840 period done in marvellous detail. The house is a stone one with mud plaster and every other detail of the period. Life-size models: are shown in the dress of tiie period, while the furniture and pictures, which have been collccted throughout the Dominion, are the cxact articles in use one hundred years agr>.
