AN INSTRUCTIVE SECTION

As in past years the trade exhibits were well to the fore, affording the fixture staunch support and making a bright and educational section. Throughout the day the pub lie evinced the greatest interest in the various working models erected by local and visiting firms, while farmers found much to instruct them in the agricultural stands. The most arresting stall was with out a doubt that provided by the Department of Agriculture where besides pasture management, cropping and horticulture, a most instructive section was devoted to the control of the dread disease of hydatids. The examples of what the infection is capable of doing to the animal organisms was a lasting lesson to all who viewed the display. McLean Motors Ltd. showed their usual good display of Morris cars, comprising also the purposeful Chambers farm tractors. Messrs Armstrong's Ltd. showed the well-known Ford make of roadster. Mr F. M. Abbott demonstrated the Erg Battery in an attractive stand, While E. W. Matthews exhibited the Gordon Vacuum Brake Milkers. Other milking machines which attracted attention were the 'Treloar,' the 'Gane,' the 'Simplex' the 'Ridd,' and the well-known 'Wallace.' 1
