WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

MATATA MEETING The visitors and members of the Matata Women's Institute spent a very enjoyable afternoon at the Pres byterian Hall on February 14th. Mrs. Caverliill presided and after business was concluded, everyone was free to enjoy games, and patronise the produce stall, where a brisk business was attended to by Mrs Withy. The competitions were won by the following: Match box competition: Mrs Pollock 1, Mrs Ansell 2, Mrs Withy 3. Best flower competition: Mrs Magee 1, Mrs Ansell 2, Mrs Wilson 3. One egg cookery: Mrs Ansell 1. The afternoon closed with afternoon tea served by the members.
