WEEK-END TOURNAMENT AT TE PUKE Boisterous weather prevailed for the tournament held on the Te Puke Bowling Club's greens last weekend. the heavy cross-wind making it practically impossible to place the bowls. Consequently most of the heads were well scattered, and in numerous cases bowls live and six feet from the "Jack" counted in the scores. Six teams entered from the local club, while ten other teams, representatives from llotorua, Tauranga, Tauranga South. Taneatua and Whakatan?, also participated. Potter's team, from Tauranga, won the trophies, beating Montgomery's team in the final 9-5."
