Mr and Mrs K. Runciman of King Street are at Ohope Beach. Mrs W. J. Wilson, of Soutar's Avenue, is ttnj T ing with friends ia Auckland. Mr and Mrs J. A. G. Fleming of White Pine Bush, are on holiday in Auckland. Mr and Mrs R. Thomson, of Waihou, Thames Valley, are now living permanently at Ohope Beach. Mrs M. E. Conolly has returned to Paeroa after spending three weeks' holiday at Whakatane and New Plymouth. Lieutenant J. T. Conolly of Whakatane, has received notice to proceed to camp at Narrow Neck on February 1» Mrs Jeff Corney and Miss Jennifer Corney of Wharepaina, Rotorua, are spending a short holiday at Ohope as the guests of Mrs A. J. Canning. Mrs I. Towrsend, of Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs Ti Brassey of Haigh Street, has now returned home. Mr and Mrs F. J. Reynolds and family of Thornton are at present on a motor tour of the North Island. Their trip will include the Centennial Exhibition. Mr and Mrs A. McDonald who have been spending their holidays at Ohope Beach, left last Wednesday for Paengaroa, where Mr McDonald has been appointed headmaster of the school. Mr Noel Gibson, headmaster of Dihvorth School, Auckland, was through Whakatane yesterday, and j expressed himself as agreeably surprised at the growth and prosperity of the town. The Rev. and , Mrs Young of Wanganui, who exchanged charges with Rev. and Mrs Caulton for the past two weeks returned home yesterday. It is understood that the Rev. Caulton and family will return to-day. Included in the list of those V t ho passed with credit in the University Entrance examinations, the results of which have just been released, is Master N. F. Reynolds, son of Mr and Mrs F. J. Reynolds, of Thornton. Master Reynolds attends King's College.
