EDGECUMBE PIG SALE BACONERS MAKE TO U 3s The Farmers Auctioneering Co. report having held their fortnightly sale at the above yards on Monday. An extra heavy yarding of pigs was offered especially baconers which were penned in large numbers and sold under keen competition in favour of sellers. A larg'jf bench of buyers operated from both outside and local, the yarding being eleared under the hammer. We quote as follows: Heavy baconers £4 to £4 .3s; medium baconers £3 13s to £3 17s; light baconers £3 5s to £3 10s; heavy porkers £2 13s to £2 19s; medium porkers £2 t-'S to £2 lis; light porkers £2 3s lo £2 6s; large stores :£2 6s to £2 19s; slips 31s to £2; weaners, good 23s lo 265; weaners medium 15s to 19s: choppers £2 1 Is to £3 6s. The next sale will be held on, Monday 29th January where wc advise farmers to consign their pigs for full market value. Outside buyers will be operating at this sale for bacon and butten milk pigs.
