A GENEROUS OFFER
CHILDREN'S SWIMMING FOOL TWO DONATIONS OF £10 An ardent desire on the part of two Ohope residents to do something to benefit the younger children on the beach, has resulted in the offer being made of £10 apiece;' to go towards the building of a permanent swimming and paddling pool for the tiny tots. It was pointed out by one of the donors that he considered it next to impossible for the little ones to learn to swim in the waves, owing to the broken water, and continual wave movement. To his mind it was necessary to construct a two or three foot pool in which the smaller children could be taught to swim without fear of being swamped by waves The matter will be doubt be discussed at the forthcoming public meeting to be called at Ohope in the near future.
