PUBLIC NOTICES BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD LOCAL LEGISLATION BILL Notice is hereby given that the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board has made application to the Minister of Internal Affairs to have a clause inserted in the Local Legislation Bill the objects of which arc fully set out as under; — "Whereas it is provided by section forty-seven of the Electricpower Boards Act 1925, that an electric power board may provide public offices within the electric-power district; and whereas the Borough of Whakatane is surrounded by the boundaries of the Bay of Plenty Electric Power District but does not form part of the said district; and whereas it is expedient that subsidiary public offices of the said district be established within the Borough of Whakatane, the Bay of Plenty Electric Power Board seeks authority to purchase Section 62, 63 and part section 59 of Allotment 272 Waimana Parish for the purpose of erecting subsidiary public offices within the Borough of Whakatane, and to exercise the powers conferred by section forty-seven of the Elec-tric-power Boards Act 1925 as if the said Borough was situated within the Bay of Plenty Electric-power District." All persons who may be affected by the clause, should lodge their objections with the Minister of Internal Affairs within twentv-onc days from the first publication of this notice. W. T.
