Deadlock in connection with the price desired by the Whakaatane Paper Mills for the manufactured board, and the figures demanded by the Government Price Fixation com mittee, has given rise to wide speculation as to the possible outcpme of the dispute. Both sides have made clear their arguments in no uncertain manner, and it can at least be said that all cards are on the table. The outcome will be intensely interesting for shareholders and for the general public who have followed the progress of the great experiment with more than passing curiosity. Here will be the test which will possibly spell the fate of one of the greatest commercial enterprises ever undertaken in the Dominion.
