QUOTA ALMOST FILLED 40 ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS In all military camps throughout New Zealand the Second Echelon of the Special Force is to be mobilised on January 12. Officers posted to this echelon have been in camp since early November, while prospective non-commissioned officers be gan training* at the beginning of December. Men are still being recruited for this detachment and also to provide a nucleus for a third, and according to latest reports there are vacancies in practically all units. Paeroa's quota for the second j echelon is now practically completed, it was stated at the No. 2 Area Defence Office on Wednesday morn ing, and a further draft will go into camp on Friday, January 19. Men classed as dentally unfit are now being allowed into camp in cases where extractions are required Approximately 40 enlistments for service overseas have been received during the week. H. Barney, Tauranga; Bruce Mur ray Murdoch, Tauranga; Harold W. Bebby, Bay of Plenty; Gilbert Chandler Hool, Thames; William Henry Rogers, Paeroa; D. V.
