BAND CONTEST
TO TAKE PLACE AT TE AROIIA AT EASTER TO COMPETE v 4 Nominations have been received from the following 15 bands for the 1940 South Auckland contest, which is to be held at Tc Aroha during Easter: — B Grade: Hamilton Citizens, Waikato Regimental, Tauranga Municipal, Te Aroha Municipal, Thames Regimental, Waihi Federal. C Grade: Cambridge Municipal, Matamata Citizens, Morrinsville Municipal, Ngaruawahia Municipal, Pukekohe Municipal, Te Awamutu, Municipal, Te Ivuiti Municipal, Wha katane Citizens, Paei-oa Municipal. The musical adjudicator will be Mr F. W. G. McLeod, of Palmerston North. The test selections are: B grade: "Echoes of Schubert"; C grade: "H.M.S. Pinafore,"
