NEW CHARGE
FORMER WHAKATANE MINISTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH APPOINTMENT A unanimous call has ben made by St. .James' Presbyterian Church, Wellington Street, Auckland, to the Rev. 11. .f. Liiburn. late of Hamilton East, and formerly of Whakatane. Mr Lilburn's induction will take place early in February. Mr Liiburn emigrated to New Zealand from Magheragall, outside Lisbnrn. Northern Ireland, 11 years ago, Shortly alter his arrival he took lip a charge at Whak'itane, which he left seven years later for an appoint ment in Hamilton East. While in both towns he earned a reputation as a splendid social organiser. The congregation in Hamilton East lias a monument to their late minister in the fine new hall, Avhose reconstruction he arranged. Mr Liiburn has no relatives in the Dominion, but Mrs Lilburn's brother is Dr John Boyd, head of the; Nelson branch of the Health Department, A sister of Mrs Liiburn, Mrs D. K. Duncan, lives at Epsom. Mr Duncan is president of the Auckland Lister Association.
