THE CHILDREN'S SECTION

doob fflisks to the ©reto of "€onl> Jnbea&our"

CHEER long and loud for the coming Festive Season, ma Hearties ! ! Here we are again right at the front door of dear old Christmas time. What fun and happiness there is in store for every one of us. How eagerly we look forward to fat oSd Santa Glaus paying us a visit and bringing us those wonderful presents of his which he has been engaged' on affl during the winter months. Heigh-ho for everything that h jolJy and bright and smiling, for Ghnstmas com®- but once a year as everybody knows. Behind us now lies the path which we have trodden for the past twelve months. We can look back and see all the things which we have done. Some of us no doubt have made only poor progress and are wondering why we can't get along easily, but most of us I think can look back en a useful year, full of good exercises and accomplishments, so that in a year or two we will be able to hold up our heads like straight honest sailormen who will be an examp!e to all the others in the sea of life. This year I throw to you another bright picture from the S.S. ' flood Endeavour" and wish you joy with all my heart—A MERRY, BERRY GHRiSTIHAS. Your Old Friend, PETER THE WHALER.
