MEN ENTERING CAMP MR A. G. HULTQUIST INCLUDED Among the prospective non-com-missioned officers for the second echelon of the Special Military Force who have gone into camp from the Paeroa military area last week-end are Mr A. G. Hultquist, M.P., his brother, Mr R. N. Hultquist, and two former All Blacks, Messrs J. .1. Best and G. A. H. Bul-lock-Douglas.

Altogether, the men going into camp complete the list of 210 being supplied by the northern military district. The cadet non-commissioned, officers from Paeroa are:—-Anti-tank Regiment: P. J. Details of the total number of enlistments for service in the Special Militarj r Force registered at the Paeroa District Office to date are ns follows;—

Of the single men examined, 203 Europeans and 71 Maoris were classed as temporarily unfit and 99 Europeans and 52 Maoris permanently unlit. Eight married men with four children, and eight with five or more children, have enlisted and have yet to be medically examined. The Paeroa military authorities state that a medical board will sit at Paeroa very soon.
