THURSDAY EVENING'S PRESENTATION

HIGH STANDARD OF SINGING

Occupying extra seating accommodation in the Knox Presbyterian Church on Thursday evening, a large attendance was impressed by the augmented choir's presentation of excerpts from Handel's Messiah, and selected anthems and carols. The singing, both of the choir and soloists, was of an exceptionally high standard throughout the recital. Soloists were Mrs H. L. Drube, Mrs S. K. Schofield, Miss C. Schofield, Dr Fletcher Cole, Mr Boswell and Mr Harry Armstrong. The choir Avas under the conductorship r Mr Boswell and Miss L. Hobip ** S.M. was at the organ.
