TANEATUA MAN

FAREWELLED BY FRIENDS

Taneatua farewelled, on Monday night, a very popular member of its community, Mr Jack Frost, who is leaving on Friday Cor the N.C.O.'s: camp at Narrow Neck.

Mr Frost lias always taken an active part in local affairs serving on numerous committees, and acting as secretary of the Taneatua School Committee for the last three and a half years. He also played a prominent part in establishing and maintaining a branch of the Oddfellows' Lodge in Taneatua —and sportsmen throughout the Bay of Plenty will remember his successes in miniature rifle shooting. He won and held the championship for rifle shoot ing in the Hauraki Plains for live years. Mr Frost w r ho is a married man with two children, carries with him the good wishes of the entire district.
