BRIGHTER SHOPPING NIGHTS

The Caledonian Society, is to .be warmly complimented on its enterprise and public spiritedness in arranging for the parade of the Pipe Band through the Main street on Fniday (shopping) evenings. That the band was fully appreciated by the general public there can be no shadow of doubt, and many visitiors remarked on brightening effect in the shopping area. The question has .been asked—is it possible to make the Friday evening parade a permanent feature of Whakatane's shopping night?
