WEDDING BELLS
WIGGINS—GOILE
The St. George's Anglican Church was the scene-of a very pretty wedding at the beginning of the month, when Jean Gladys, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Goile was married to Arthur William, elder son of Mr and Mrs A. Wiggins, of Whakatane. The bride chose a gown of rich ivory satin featuring a lace medici collar and circular train with inserted lace medallion, a tulle veil was caught to her head with a topknot of velvet roses, and she carried a bouquet of St. Joseph lillies and maiden hair fern. The bridesmaids. Miss Joyce Goile, cousin of the bride, and Miss Valerie Carter, wore pretty frocks and hats in two shades of pink clover taffeta and■ stiffened net. They carried dainty semi-shower bouquets of blue and toning shades of stocks, sweet peas and fern. The groom was attended by Mr J. Howat as best man and Mr D. Wood as groomsman. The bride's mother received the guests at the Central Dining Rooms reception, wearing a smart navy georgette frock and hat and accessories and she carried a posy of red roses. The bridegroom's mother chose a navy coat and hat and patterned fuschia coloured frock and accessories and carried an autumn tinted posy. After the reception the harmy couple left on a tour by car. The bride travelled in a smart tailored navy costume «nd furs with a clover and navy hat and accessories. They will, make their , future home in Whakatane.. ... - !\
