The public may sum up for Ureklaw Royal Abb Innes Lad. ~ , The principal event of the meeting will be the Alison Cup, of £600, one mile and a quarter. 'Among the contestants arc recent winners in Golden Sheila, Royevriis; Birthday Boy, Orate and Ivy Will onyx. High in the estimation of backers maj r be Golden Sheila Royevrus Birthday Boy. With an acceptance of 25 two year olds, the Cambria Handicap, five furlongs, may furnish a thrilling flutter. There are at least eight very speedy juveniles in the race, and the final figures may point to the chances of Night Beam Phaleron Harmony. Keen interest will be centred in the Takapuna Plate, and the leading fancies may bo I Orelio I Silver Stick Meadow. Open class sprinters will be seen out in the Cheltenham Handicap, and it will not be at all in the nature of a surprise if heavy backing is registered in regard to the capabiitics of Our Jean Bronwen Olympus. Saturday's racing will conclude with the Ponui Handicap, one mile, in which the favourites may be Royal Tray Pern | Greek Queen.
