Beautiful flowers in shades of
apricot and white were arranged in j the Whakatane Methodist Church on. Saturday morning, November 1, when the wedding took place of Florence. Evelyn, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs A. H. Jamieson of Te Teko, and Gordon Edgar,, younger son of Mrs Holt of Onepu, and the lat,c Mr McDonald of Wanganui. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. P. Lucas and the wedding music was played by Mrs Darvill.
The bride, who was given awaj r bj' her father, wore a beautiful gOAvn of magnolia bridal satin cut on classical lines and falling to a grace ful scalloped train. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a trailing bouquet of white rosebuds and orange blossom.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Jean Jamieson, and by the sister of the bridegroom, Miss Nellie McDonald,, who were dressed alike in frocks of a;pricot lace, cut on graceful flowing lines. They Avore Avliich were caught in place with floAA'ers to tone, and carried bouquets of apricot shaded roses, gerbera and cream banksia roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Jim Jamieson as best man and Mr HaAvorth McDonald as groomsman. Afterwards a reception Avas held at the Parish Hall. The guests AA r erc received by the bride's parents, Mrs Jamieson Avcaring a navy costume Avith a blouse of pink georgette, na at hat and accessories to match, Avith it she Avore a fox fur and she carried a posy of pink coloured flowers. Mrs Holt, Avho assisted her, Avas gOAvned in a black Avith Avhite spot sheer ensemble and she carried a posy of mauve toned stock and asparagus fern. The guests then journeyed to Te Teko from Avhcre the bride and bridegroom later left on their honey moon. The bride Avas tastefully dressed in a navy frock Avith a navy bolero and Avhite trimming, and naA'y accessories. She Avore a fur necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. Ihe bride and bridegroom AA'ere the recipients of many beautiful presents, tokens of the love and esteem and good Avishes of their many friends. The guests present Avere: Mr A. Jamieson, Senr.
