' FRUIT CAKE WITHOUT EGGS ilb butter, Jib sugar, 1 table- * spoon Golden Syrup, few drops ■" •• ■ "essence of vanilla, lib flour, 2 heaped teaspoons Edmonds Cake Powder. ?oz. sultanas, 4oz. cur- ■ rants, 3oz. mixed peel (shred- ■ ded), milk (about a cupful). Beat butter and sugar to a '< cream, add golden syrup and ' essence., Stir in flour and Cake fPowder previously sifted, then mix all to a nice consistency f with milk. Bake in a mpderate ' i oven U tcr 2 hours. This cake is improved by keeping a day or two. (No Baking Powder t required.) CAKE POWDER BUNS 2 cups flour, 1 cup sugar, 6oz. ' dripping or butter, 2 dessert- ■ t spoons Edmonds Cake Powder f * ? U P raisins, J piece peel, a , little milk. J KISSES (Eggless) 41b butter, 2 tablespoons hot water, £ cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 2 cup coconut, 1 teaspoon Edmonds Cake Powder. Melt * butter with hot water, mix into dry ingredients which have been 4 previously mixed together. Roll into balls, put on tray and flatten a little. Cook 15 minutes in * a moderate oven.
