Neutral countries get together with the signing of the Italy-Greece pact.
German headquarters confirm reports of executions by shooting in Poland. Freedom station broadcasts again and states that not one German outside of the Nazi Party desires to continue the present war.
Bad weather conditions on the Western Front -\vitli only isolated infantry contacts. Crew scuttle German tanker to prevent seiz.ure by British destroyer and City of Flint reported two hundred miles off Bergen. Netherlands Government declares martial law in border towns. Swiss also prepare for removal of industries and population further from the border. Understood that the Soviet has made arrangements to purchase all German merchant shipping for own use. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4th. Heavy guns of the Siegfried Line roar into action as Germans prepare for large scale offensive. Finns lay mines in the Gulf of Finland and close channels between islands. Allied 'planes make more flights over enemy territory. Scandinavian countries support Finland in resistance of Soviet demands. Holland seeks ground in preparation for flooding in the event of invasion-
