HEADS AND THE PA PROCEDURE FOR INCLUSION Now that the Borough Council has decided to proceed with the necessary measures for the inclusion •)!' the Heads and the Pa within its boundaries it is interesting to note the details which will set the official machinery in motion, before such action can definitely become recognised and final.
Alter :i month's advertising the petition is sent forward to the Gov-ernor-General for investigation and a final decision. His Excellency in folloAving the usual procedure will thereupon appoint a committee for llie purpose of hearing evidence on the spot. This committee will consist of the Chief District Surveyor an official from the Valuation Department and the District Magistrate (who will act as chairman). Following the local sitting the com mittee recommendation will be forwarded on to the Governor-General who will act accordingly, or at his discretion.
