MONTHLY STOCK SALE
OPOTIKI SALEYARDS Messrs Dalgetv and Co. Ltd. rePort having held their monthly stock sale at the Opotiki saleyards cn Thursday, the sth instant when a good average yarding of cattle came forward. Included in the offering were 14 Pedigree Bulis t account J. .Cr Murray, who offered his annual draft at this sale. From the same vendor were 24 yearling Jersey heifers which sold under keen competition at £(> Os. The principal purchasers of Mr Murray's bulls were Mr B>ris "Black, who purchased "Ladvwell Honesty'' at 33% guineas, Mr Dave Morrison, who purchased "Ladvwell Profit"' at 20 guineas, Mr Harry Bridge, who purchased two bulls "Ladvwell Troop er'' at 2(5 guineas and "Ladvwell Sailor'' at 17 guineas,
Other purchasers were the Native Department. Whakatane, Mr W. J. Paul Opotild, Mr E. Thompson Qpo tiki and Messrs W. A. Gault and M. F. Stevenson, of Otara, who purchas
Ed bulls at priccs ranging from £8 8 s to £19 19s.
Mr Murray's line of heifers were knocked down to Mr Raymond Read of Kutarere at £C> 6s.
Fat cattle were at a premium, no heavy cows coming forward. Messrs Young Bros purchased practically every fat cow'yarded. Boners were firm at late rates and a nen of 2-year old Jersey heifers, ejfcpty, made £1.
