RAINFALL FOR THE YEAR

Rainfall figures recorded for tbtt BEACON by Mr H. show--' that the nine months to the end of September were the driest on record, 26.2,1 ms having fallen. The fall for the month was I.6lins, and the driest September on record before that was the same month last year, when 4.33 ins were registered. The w wettest was in 1928 when there was' a flail of 7.l9ins. The total of 26.21 ins for the nine * months compares with the same per-> <od last year when 56.87 inches fell. The heaviest fajl for nine months was in 1924 when 62.46 ins were recorded .
