BACKWARD DAIRYING SEASON
Owing to the backward dairying season deliveries of butter info the cool stores in Auckland during the past two months have been considerably below those of the corresponding period of recent years. The exceptionally cold and wet conditions in July and August were responsible for a setback to herds in the Waikato and other pares of the Auckland province, and the temperatures have con tinned rather low for good results. It is however, that if 3 spell ol sunny weather is experienced there AvilJ be a great improvement during the next few weeks. How far Hie decline in herds and the labour shortage is 1 kely to reduce production cannot be ascertained at this stage.
