RED CROSS FUNDS RAISED The first public entertainment in aid of ltd Cross Funds in. AA rhakatane proved a success wh.cn the Whakatanc Caledonian Society held another of their popular inglesides in the Ming Street Hall, on Thursday nieht of last week. It resulted in a net; amount of £13 15s G;1 being made available for the cause. .Tiie usual items of high quality were interspersed with the dancing. The Misses Jean and Ruby Howat tap danced well and Miss Isobel Martin was seen in excellent interpretations of the Sean Triubhais and the Fling, while Miss Mollic Armour pleased all with her Sailor's Hornpipe. Mrs Armstrong played for the tap dancing, iwhile Mrs Fowell was responsible for the music for the evening.
