EBGECUMBE LADIES MEET ■ J." The monthly meeting of the Edgecumbe Women's Institute was heldl on Tuesday. Mrs Le Lievre and there were thirty members present. Remits for the Oct ober Council meeting were discussed and voted upon and Mrs Gold-mitbs and Mrs Pepperell were chosen as delegates to attend the meeting. Mrs Cowie then gave a most interesting and helpful demonstration tapestry work. This proved most' popular and several members took the opportunity to learn the work. A Avail competition arranged byMrs Hodson, was won by Mrs G.< Irving. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs G. Wilson Mrs Hodson, and Mrs Fielder, the hostesses for the The meeting concluded with the Nartional Anthem.
