QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT ACTION TO BE TAKEN In the House of Representatives on, Tuesday the member for Tauranga, Mr F. W. Doidge, gave notico that on next question day he would ask the Acting-Prime Minister: 1. Whether the Minister's attention has been called to the fallowing statement appearing in the Matamata. Record headed "Communists Active, '* "Circulars issued at Matamata i " "Government Intervention Sought'':—"lt is stated that Communists have become particularly active in Matamata during the past few da3 r s. Our information is that circular's are being distributed denouncing the Prime Minister of Great Britain and the policy of the British Government. Representations are being made to the Government to take steps to suppress the antiBritish propaganda.* 1 ' 2. If the "Minister has already seen this circular will be inform the House Avhat action, if any', has been taken. This circular, copy of which I ittach, said Mr Doidge, carries ti'p heading "The Soviet Union is Right"' and In the Matamata district it has been placed in farmers' letter boxes, in, their cream cans, and over householders' gates.
