ANOTHER GOOD BEAU PERE
Beau Vite, by Beau Pere—Dominant, started off well in his Australian tour by being victorious on Saturday in the Canterbury Plate. On a fairly heavy course he scampered over the six furlongs in 1.12%. His rider, W. Pike, afterwards expressed the opinion that the colt will Avin the A.J.C Derby. No other colt hp had ridden had so impressed him as a prospective Derby winner. Not many sports,nien in this Dominion will doubt Beau Vite's ability to run 12 fm--longs, as his dam is by Martian, whose stock were noted stayers.
