JUDGE'S BOX AT ELLERSLIE
The judge's box at which for many years has been considered to be too near the course fence, is now being slrfted 20 feet further while the judge will be seated higher than heretofore. This official now now be enabled to obtain a better view of the finishing horses than previously right from fence to fence, and errors in judging should now be few and far between. ROYAL DANCE FOR AVONDALE Royal Dance, who scored his first win over the sticks last season at Tauranga, will make his next appear ance under rr.cing colours at Avondale next week. He has been working very satisfactorily at r.n.j his chance of getting "into the money'"' is indeed bright.
