PUBLIC NOTICES RANGITAIKI LAND DRAINAGENOTICE OF MAKING AND LEVYING GENERAL RATES I, William Lec Martin, acting for the Minister of Lands, in the exorcise of powers conferred upon him by tlic Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act ? 1910, and its amendments, do hereby make and levy on >thc unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act the general rates to meet maintenance costs for the period. Ist April 1939, to 31st March. 1940, as do. scribed in the Schedule hereto. The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on the 26th dav of September, 1939, together with the special vales already made and levied. The rate-book of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Land Drainage Engineer's Office. Room 45, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of samemay be inspected at the office of the Land Drainage Engineer, at Thorn, ton, near Whakatane, at all times at .which those offices are open for the transaction of public business. SCHEDULE. General Rates. Class A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed un--der section 0 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, three pence and twenty-six one-hun-dred ths of a penny (3.26 d) in the pound. Class B: On the unimproved valu* of all lands so classified as Class , B two pence and seventeen one. hundredths of a penny (2.17 d) in the pound. Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and eight one-hun-dred ths of a penny (l.OBd) in the pound. Class D: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class D thirty-six one-hundredths of ft pennj- (.36d) in the pound. Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1939. W.
