The bridal gown was fashioned on ( modern lines. The softly draped bodice, the collar forming a charming lily effect, was finished with long fitting sleeves ending in a point over each wrist. The graceful skirt was fashioned to form a sweeping train. A veil of ivory tulle, which war-", worn over her face while entering the church, was held in place by n heart_shaped halo. The bride carried a sheaf of lilies and maidenhair fern. The maid's frock featured finely pleated short sleeves and pleated bodice, from which the full skirt feil in soft folds. A posy of spring flowers to tone was carried and a- halo-head-dress of the same toning as her frock was worn. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Trevor Rowlihson. After the wedding ceremony, Mrs R. M. Grant sister of the bride, received her guests at the reception in, the Blue Bath tearooms, wearing a | smart navy ensemble with navy hat and accessories. She was' assisted by Miss E. Johnson, sister of the bridegroom, who wore black relieved with cyclamen with a matching blaclc * coat and black hat. Mrs Johnson left on her honeymoon weatfing a black Viennese model with matching accessories and a muscjuash fur coat. She will make her future home in Whakatane.
