POSITION OF FARMERS
NO RESTRICTION ON TRUCKS Farmers will be entitled to a restricted quantity of oil fue] for the operation of their private cars. No restriction at the moment has been placed on fuel for farm purposes to operate lorries and machinery. The restricted amount of petrol which farmers will have made available to them is to enable them to visit the nearest town centre not more than once a week. Farmers living within a mile of a town centre will not be supplied with petrol for a private car used solely for pleasure. " To use their cars for purposes necessary for the pursuit of their business as farmers, such as travelling t 0 stock sales,' farmers will be able to make application for a special license which will be considered, by the sub-District Oil Fuel Controller.
