At the Pakuranga fixture the Te Aroha sportsman j Mp R. B. Hines, .started the new racing season with Brazen Bold and Black Musk, both of which are well known by Bay of Plenty racing patrons. In the same stable, but yet to make her appearance in public this season is the King Lu—Lady Brierly four year old mare Miss Brierly, a full sister to the successful mare. Miss Lu and half sister to that undoubted stayer Master Brierly. During the winter she has thickened out very materially and is much more *olid in conformation than here-to.fore, and promises to be a payable proposition t year. It is more than probable that she will be "carrying silk at Tauranga in October.
