THE CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION ARTICLES FOR DISPLAY An effort is being made at the present time to enlist the interest of members of the Women's Division of "the Farmers' Union, and the Women's Institute to supply articles of interest, such as heirlooms, or unusual mementos, for exhibition in the forthcoming Centennial Exhibition in Wellington. The exhibition of handcraft will 'extend over the six months of the 'Centennial and it is to this end that an endeavour is being made to discover if possible such articles as specimens of spinning and weaving, wool exhibits, needlework, fine embroidery etc., basketry, leatherwork -toys from wool, papier machc work. 'Those who are interested in the display and have in their possession a possible exhibit are asked to get in touch with Sirs E. Hill (Taneatun) or Sirs E. C«. Haultain (Rural delivery) who represent the W.D.F.U. Members of the Women's Institute will learn further details by contacting their respective secretaries. As all exhibits must be forwarded on to Hamilton by September 15th ? the closing date for the receipt of articles in this district has been fixed as ■ September Bth. For the benefit of those who con-' sider the element of risk in loaning articles we have been asked to state that in all instances the exhibits will jbe covered by insurance.
