SHOOTING OF GOATS
Sir, —For sometime past the goats living on the hills at the back of the town have been a source of interest (Continued at foot of next column)
and pleasure to many citizens ant! visitors. Children, living in Toroa Street have made pets of some of these nials and in the opinion of they were an attraction rather a nuisance. The senseless slaughter of these harmless animals has disgusted many citizens of the Borough and if there are any* goats left they should be let live. Yours etc., "CAPRICORN'*
(The letter from the correspondent ''Clodhopper'' borders on the political side, which the BEACOM seeks to exclude from its column.. Though there has been an obvious effort to ridicule and infuse a lighter touch to the under treatment, the letter has been rejected in view of this paper's policy of keep ing strictly clear of political controversy. Ed).
