THE ONEPU TROOP At their regular weekly meeting of the Onepu Boy Scout troop, held last Saturday Scout Angus O'Brien and Edward Eivers were the first to receive their proficiency badges, earning them in respect to horsemanship . Mention must also he made of the seven sccfuts who are studying for their ambulance badge. This is proving rather difficult . to obtain, but under the guidance of their instrr.c. tor ? Mr H. Pain of Awakeri, it should be well worth while. Another new scout, Flin Wahlewas initiated. Preparations are well in hand for the holding of the first birthday party, on Octobcr 7.
