After running, on the first and second days at the Canterbury meeting, and without a strong element of luck, H. Rama's Tooley Street won the Sclwvn Handicap, the con. eluding event of the meeting i'roni £> strong field, which included front rank performers in Black Thread, Night Calm and Alma. The work executed by the Surveyor geld, ing at Ellcrsl'e before being taken oouth was of a high order, and h*>? victory quite justified the optimism oi his owner.
