TANEATUA BRANCH At the monthly meeting of, the Taneatua branch of the W.D.F.U. Mrs E. Hill presided over a large attendance of members and one new member Avas Avelcomed. The secretary read the minutes of the provin. cial executive meeting held in August. Mrs Hill presented a small gift to Mr s Hunt Avho is leaving the district and wished her every happiness in her new home. Mrs E. Haultain, provincial president, ga\*e an interest ing report of the Dominion, Conference. Competitions were won as follows: Child's machine made frock, Mrs Frost 1; Mrs Hill 2. Pikelets, Mrs Hill 1; Mrs Hay ward 2. Flower, double, Mrs McGougan 1; Mrs Hill 2. Single flower, Mrs' Mitchell i; Mrs Hill 2. Hostesses A\ T ere Mesdames Tocker, Doolan and Munro. The meeting closed Avith the National Anthem.
