PREPARING CAMP SITE j A circular from the New Zealaiul r Bov Scouts' Jamboree Office gives some interesting facts regarding theecntennial Jamboree at Hcretaunga,, "V "Wellington, next year. There are. -w over ."5000 applieat ons from New Zealand Scouts, and it is expected that at least 6000 boys will lie in camp. Preparation of the site is now well • and the work has been aided by the generosity of the Barton brothers, of Featherston, who presented to the Jamboree the old Barton homestead at Trentham, and the help and generosity of others. Already the site is beginning to bear - something oT the gala aspect of the Jamboree, and each week-end willing Scouts and supporters work oh it, digging ditches, leveling clearing scrub and doing the thousand and .one other necessary jobs. The Jamboree will lie open to the public on four or live days, 'm.;l there will al-'o be a day and a night display in the Arena.
