WEEK-END GOLF
AIDING THE CAMPAIGN WHAKATANE CLUB'S OPEN DAY The Whakatane Golf Club, plans an open day next Sunday in support of the Queen Carnival campaign. Play will take the form of mixed foursomes four ball and putting com petitions. Trophies Avill lie donated in all instances and entrance fees will be Is 6d per round and 2s (3d per pair. It is the endeavour of the club to make the clay a genuine field day tea and sandwiches being procurable from the pavilion and a warm welcome will' be extended all visitors from the Mokorua, Taneatua and Waimana Clubs.
