WIN FOR RANGITAIKI TE PUKE WELL BEATEN KEEN GAME AT MATATA Rangitaiki definitely outclassed Tc Puke at Matata last Saturday, to the tune of 20 points to G. The match which was played in a crosswind was watched by a large assemblage who enthusiastically cheered each piece of good play. Rangitaiki were strong in the pack while the backs provided interludes of clean passing and good understanding. Renata who scored most of the points was outstanding, but all his tries came from the openings which were made by his colleagues particularly the Lees brothers. The only thing Rangitaiki lacked was a kicker only one of the six tries being converted. The Te Puke team played well in jDatches, particularly the second spell when on several occasions they bad their opponents in difficulties. Satherly was outstanding, while McKenzie also put in some snappy work. Oxenham at half gave a nippy display while Valder was the keenest back.
