LAUNCHING QUEEN CARNIVAL
HIGH EMI ERTAINMEN T PROMISED All arrangements in connection with the opening concert programme which will launch the Queen Carnival campaign arc now completed. The items are all of an excellent na_ ture and patrons are confidently promised a variety of entertainment that will be hard to surpass. A number of noveity items will be provided which will be backed up vocal and orchestral that arc definitely first class. Delightful sketches will .lend a lighter touch to the proceedings while the portrayal of a Dickensian scene 'Sairley Gamp and Bettsy Prigg' will capture the imagination of all who see it. The concluding number will be the presentation of the Queens by His Worship the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barry This will be carried out in attractive tableaux from the various sports oig anisations taking part in the carnival. The whole effect will be most pleasing and in every way the con. cert should be a most fitting intro-> ductioni to what the whole town trusts will! be a highly successful) campaign.
