HAMILTON SALE I The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report:— Sheep: A large entry of all classes of fat sheep came forward and competition for ewe mutton especially was keen. Butchers again showed a preference for finished quality and while this class of wethers Avas firm at late rates, unfinished sorts were not so keenly sought after. A good entry of store sheep comprising most ly store hoggets for which the demand was good, prices being fully on a par with recent sales. Cattle: There was a heavy yarding of ox and cow beef which sold readily at last week's quotations. An extra large yarding of vealers and prices for good quality well grown calves were firm but values were in. ! clined to ease towards the end of the sale, especially on smaller cattle. Boner cows were penned in average l ; I numbers and late rates were maintained throughout. Pigs: A larger entry of fat a good proportion of the yarding comprising heavy baconers. Prices throughout were on a par with last week's, rates. A very heavy yarding of store and weaner pigs and also a good yarding of breeding sows. Competition was keen from a If rgc bcnch of buyers with values slightly in advance of last sale.
