CHILD KNOCKED DOWN
RUNS IN FRONT OF CAR HEAD INJURIES RECEIVED William Eivers, five year old son of Mr C. iF 1 . Eivers, Te Teko wa:< knocked down by a motor car on Fri_ afternoon at about 4.30 o'clock at l.lc gate of his home when leaving -the school bus. It is understood that the child ran round the back of the bus full into the path of a passing car, the driver of which, a Hindu -faiimhand, is stated to have had no chance of avoiding him. The child was knocked unconscious ■find was taken to his home where Dr F. J. Appleby found he was suffering from head injuries. He was unconscious for several hours, regained consciousness, and- lapsed again during, the night. His condition is stat. Ed to be. improving. He was not 'brought into hospitaj,, .
