'; JOINING tTSS TCRIUT)6RIALS OLDER MfiN DO THEIR PART Recruiting in Whakatane is grossing reasonably well, and so far * 55 men have joined the territorials or the reserve. 'An appeal is made to more men to enlist so that Whakatane can establish a company, and thus bring itself in line with centres like Blenheim and Gr'eymouth whose establishment is of that strength. The attractive conditions of sirvice, coupled with the urgent necessity for a strong defensive force* make the authorities confident ths£ local youth will respond to the call.
