——oSHOOTING AT TE TEKO VERY SUCCESSFUL DAY A very successful clay-bird shoot was held at Te Teko last week-end. Shooters were present from all parts of the Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, and Opotiki being particularly well represented. It was- very pleasing indeed to sec the number of young shooters competing and they performed very well to hold their own with veteran shots such as C. Timbs, W ? Semmens and J. Ormond. There were record entries in all events. Results were as follows: — Eyeopener Sweepstake, five birds: (21 entries): J. L. Ross, F. Harris, G. Edwards, A. J. Brown, W. Howat and J. Butler tied with the possible. Novice Shoot, five. birds y first prize gold medal (11 entries): J. T. Bryce won with the possible. Trophy Shoot with optional sweepstake, eight birds (26 entries): J. L. Ross and A. J. Brown tied with the possible and in the shoot off Ro c s won at the JGth bird. Duff Cup. ten birds (17 entries): J. Spencer (Rotorua) won with the possible. Gimcrack, six birds (25 entries): A. J. Buckley,, J. L. Ross, J. Parkinson and W. Gillett tied with the possible and divided. Te Teko Handicap Shoot 12 birds (18 entries): C. Timbs and J. Plamus tied with the possible for first. J. Spencer, A. J. Brown and J. L. Ross tied with 11 each for third. Six Bird Sweepstake (Hi entries): J. L. Ross, Buckley, Jephsou and Johnston, tied with the possible. Consolation Sweepstake, five bird.'-: (17 entries): A. J. Brown won with the possible. N. Johnson H. Taylor W. Sem mens, P. W. Ilowat J. L. Ross, R. Knight tied for second Box Sweep, three birds: Johnston won on the shoot off.
