Berghan will not be available for sslection in the New Zealand team to toin- South Africa next year, and it now appears that he may not be available for the Otago teams during the season. Berghan, who is a dental studen,t at Otago University, lost time from his studies last year through his tour of Australia with the New Zealand team and it is •5 known that ho is not anxious to take any morie time from his University studies. It is understood that Berghan has informed the Otago selectors that he prefers not to play representative Rugby this season, as it is a difficult matter for him- to attend training, but in the event of his services be. ing urgently required, he may reconsider his decision.
